A few weeks ago Pitchfork did a spot on Tittsworth's first full length album, 12 Steps and I would say that they have done a royally shit job on the review. Whoever wrote the piece was obviously not a fan of club music, talking about how the "tiny beats" and "hardcore subject matter" were only listened to in Baltimore. This was all before they even mentioned anything about Titts. How are you gonna write a review for a Tittsworth record, if you don't even listen to club music? If you don't even like club? What are you supposed to measure it against? The couple bars of the "Sing Sing" break you heard in a Diplo track? That Booty House b-side on the Justice single? Get some fucking writers who know something about the genre before you go spitting shit about it. Tittworth is a great producer and DJ. His live sets are always fun. He gives tons of tracks away all the time. He even gives production samples away for free on his website. (Now that shit is rare.) Plus, T and A Records have put out multiple great records in the last two years, including a killer club breaks record, (which helped me out of many jams, before I switched to Serato.). So fuck you Pitchfork. You a broke ass mutha for shitting on this.
